The Brief – to design a substantial garage and workshop with high level storage in keeping with the main Cornish cottage which is located in a World Heritage Site.

  

The Design - to meet the brief, the garage was designed with two principal trusses to support the roof span and provide storage at high level.  The roof was covered with natural slate and two conservation rooflights were installed to provide internal light.  At ground level there is adequate space for parking the camper van with a workshop to the rear.  To the side, a Catslide roof supported on oak posts provides further storage for bikes and canoes as well as providing a woodshed.
